Yes, I am a Canuck – see my flag

So what about me—well, I’m alive and I breathe as often as I can.  I’m a writer (of few words so far) but each keystroke moves me closer to my goal of writing the book. I am a perpetual student of this craft called writing and I belong to a wonderful small email group of writers called The Writer Chicks.

Home is Vancouver Island which is off the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. It’s where I live with one husband, one mother, and until recently, one magnificent beastie. But that’s a lovely sad piece fit for a post. So stay tuned ’cause I got lots to say…

  1. So, this was a nice “about” page. I’m going to peruse more as time permits. My days are shorter than my do’s. 🙂 I’ll be visiting Victoria in another week to take (ride along with) my grown children to Butchart Gardens. I probably have 200 books on the skill of writing. I haven’t the time to read them all yet as I keep trying to write. I like the name of your online writing group. I’ll come back and read more after pulling some more weeds.

    • Lucky you – Butchart Gardens is joy! But be warned – if you garden and from what I’ve seen on your blog – you do – Butchart will have your heart thumping faster than a rabbit running from a dog.
Turf the overload of books and pretend you know it all (cheap advice from one who has way too many books too) 🙂

      • I’ve been there before but my children haven’t. My son loves to photograph flowers so I dare say we will get very little walking done. My daughter and I (and the son) are looking forward to high tea at the gardens. :))) The 3 of us can do a lot of damage in a bookstore. I have walls of them. I took over a hundred photos last time I was there. This time, I’ll let the kids run the cameras. I’ll just absorb. My heart will surely thump. 🙂

    Dear Caymayowrites,
Thanks for subscribing to my blog. I visited Vancouver Island once in 1962. It’s a beautiful place. I look forward to reading about your adventures. Good luck in creating your book. You’ll get there…page by page.
    Never Give Up!

I just wanted to tell you I love your little blurb in your avatar section and your avatar photo. I will definitely come back to your blog. : )
